I don’t write a lot of reviews but this product is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.I really didn’t expect to get perfect results but I had to give it a try since nothing else has worked. I’ve tried several ideas… I even hauled 17,000 pounds of river rock to my dog run in a uhaul that someone gave me because they were changing their landscaping. That still didn’t work! I couldn’t afford to concrete the whole area or put turf down because it is super expensive! So as soon as I received the rug in the mail, I gave it a try. It had even just rained but I let my dogs out to do their business and as I let them in I cringed expecting to see at least SOME mud on the floors. I just couldn’t believe my eyes as they walked inside on the mat… they had absolutely NO mud on their paws! I was jaw dropped in awe! I finally have clean floors!I’ve been trying to resolve muddy paws since I moved into my house over 2 years ago. This has been the answer to the most frustrating thing about moving to this house. It been just awful having to hand clean their paws every time they go out to the dog run which they dug up all the grass in within 2 days of moving in by the way. If I don’t wash their paws every time as they walk in onto a regular mat inside and one outside, I end up with muddy paw prints all over my white floors. It’s so much fun NOT! Then when you’re expecting guests any minute or even worse when they are already here and they jump up on guests and get mud all over them. It’s so embarrassing and the guests rightfully get very upset with mud all over their cloths. I can’t even fully express how frustrating it has been for so long. This product has just blown my mind with it’s effectiveness. I don’t know how they made this magical rug but I’m thankful from the bottom of my soul daily!I saw so many reviews and mentions of this rug on Buzzfeed lists, I had to order it. I absolutely love it. I put it right at my entry for my dog to wipe his feet when we come in from walks. The microfiber really catches everything, dirt, hair- which is great because my dog sheds a lot. It can also be a snuffle mat. I put little treats over it after walks so that my dog had to walk around it and sniff for treats and gets his feet wiped. He likes the challenge. It washes very easily in the washer machine. I put it in the dryer for 10 minutes then take it out and air dry. I vacuum it between washed with the vacuum hose.I so glad I bought three of these! If you have a hard time wiping your dogs wet/muddy paws off after they've gone outside to do their business, this rug is a life saver and house saver! My dog has hairy paws. He tends to bring dirt and water back in the house with him. This rug saved my house from getting covered in mud! I have horrible back problems which make it hard for me to bed over to wipe my dogs paws. My parents have many dogs and they love this rug too! It has saved their house from being muddy too. My brother had a back yard full of dirt after having to remove some trees. He would make the dogs go down stairs in order for him to clean them off. This rug works great for keeping g his house clean as wellSo I've only had it for a few days so I cant attest to its long term durability BUT I think it is really well made & I expect it to be long lasting seeing the excellent quality of it compared to other "chenille type rug mats". I have used a number of things, besides plain mats, at my front door trying to catch not only the wet snow, ice, mud, dirt, rocks, but also the ice melting pellets and annoying little seeds & nut pieces that get tracked in from a tree in our yard and NOTHING has worked. We do not wear shoes in the house but we might as well because these things get tracked in to the front mat and then tracked across the whole house by the dog and my son's socks! Just one dog outing & I saw a difference! No wet footprints across the floor! No ice melting pellets on my carpet! I can see how this traps everything & absorbs wetness immediately! This is a game changer for me! This might literally save my sanity!!!! It is of great quality - nice & thick & soft on bare feet. I can take off my snow boots and not feel one bit of dampness on my feet! The backing is a nice thick quality rubber backing that grips nicely - no sliding or slippage at all! Like I said it is thick, but does not get in the way of the front door - it still opens & closes just fine over it. I got the 35x26 large size (in Mist color) which is perfect for my entryway as a mat for normal weather but I definitely would like the runner for winter so the first part of my carpet is protected and there's more room for snowpants and snow boots to come off without us huddling on a little mat at the doorway so I just saw the runner (in Mist) is $20 off so I had to take advantage and order it! I normally wouldn't spend that much but after trying out this large size, it's totally worth my sanity!!! The large size is reasonably priced for sure. And because it works so wonderfully i don't think the runner is OVER-priced, but it is above what I am comfortable spending; however w/ the $20 discount and given it is twice the size of this one I will take it! I would not have been able to purchase it had it not been on sale tho. I also just purchased the shammy towel also because this will be a great combo for wiping off the dog after he runs thru 2 ft of snow each time we go outside!! Thank you for making a wonderful product- I hope it holds up for a very long time as I expect it should.UPDATED: So I ordered the runner after loving the large mat so much...for some reason I mistakenly thought the large was 30x26 but it is not...it is 35x26 so when I ordered the runner (30x60) I thought they would be the same width but that was my mistake I got myself confused. I was hoping to use the runner in the same spot as the large mat at the front door just have it come out longer for the winter weather would be helpful. But it was too narrow for my purpose so I kept the large at the front door to continue using as a mat and the runner opposite it at the very first part of my carpet where my shoe tray is and all our outdoor stuff gets dropped! So this works out just as well because I just needed something to cover that portion of my carpet so we don't have to huddle on 1 tiny mat at the door with the dog when trying to take off snow boots/shoes, snow pants, wipe the dogs paws off etc. So now we have extra room to do that and my carpet will not get ruined! I love it! I added the 3rd pic to see the large mat & runner comparison. The scooter and show tray are covering part of the runner but it does go all the way to the wall.We have tile and hardwood floors. Use to hate letting the pups (3 of them) out when it was wet cause it meant we were going to have to mop again (average 5 times a day). This rug takes all the dirt and wetness off the paws. At least enough that foot prints don’t show up on the floors. I just have to keep them one the rug for a couple of seconds and no more dirty/wet footprints. The pups even lay,on it all the time since it very soft.I put this doormat in front of my home office door that leads to the garden and backyard. My little Molly, a terrier mix has claimed this rug as her very own. She loves laying on the rug to watch the birds and backyard squirrel in the garden. It's soft, comfortable and easily cleaned from the dust and debris my dogs bring in from the yard. I shake it out vigorously in the yard and bring it into the washer/dryer to clean. Durable, soft and works just fine for our needs. I bought a second one to put in front of my sink because its so soft.I was hoping for better results for £85, its not cheap for a cat/dog mat.I have two Persian cats who have feet like a yeti and walk mud throughout the house when it has been raining.I have tried a number of cheaper cat/dog mats but without any success of keeping the mess out of the house. So i thought i would go all out and invest £85 in what is regarded as the best dog mat on the market. Surely this will cope with two fury cats and their yeti feet.Well it does somethings ok but not the main thing that it is needed to do.Firstly it sticks and does not end up half way across the utility room when they come flying in through the cat flap. So one star.Secondly it looks really nice the wife says it looks the best we have had and the cats even like sleeping on it. Star two.But i am very disappointed that it does not adequately absorb the water and mud as it claims to do, it is better than others but for £85 it should really do what it says on the tin. So only one star.I will stick with it but for £85 i think you could find a cheaper alternative that will be as good. This is seriously not worth the amount I spent on it. Nowhere near in fact. I did the research as I was at the end of my tether with muddy pawprints. People in their reviews rave on about it so I though it must be amazing. My wife said, ‘How much?!’ And I said, ‘Trust me dear, this is what’s been missing from our lives...’ It’s basically just a fluffier version of a bathmat and I fail to see actually how a bathmat wouldn’t really be any different. My dog goes out in the back garden to do its business and I still have to physically get my dog’s paws and wipe them on the mat otherwise my floor is filthy. In fact I have to put the vet bed on front of it so I can wipe the paws and it can run onto it to try to get any extra mud. Disappointing to say the least. Save your money.Absolutely love this rug - have tried few and this is definatley best for absorbing both wet dog and human soggy foot prints.Looks and feels quality, had lots of positive comments when friends/family seen it.Great size, would have gone larger if available!Have washed it once on 30 and dried on line - all good.Only negative, is due to depth of cushioning bit difficult to hoover, need to get smaller attachment out or just giving a good shake outside seems to do the trick.Would definately recommend.I have bought about 7 of these in various sizes. Yes they are expensive but, they are easy to wash and come out perfect from the washing machine.Give them a shake outdoors before taking them to the washing machine, you’ll be shocked to see what falls out. These really trap moisture and mud and dirt. There are cheaper versions but they don’t have the same quality anti slip on the underside and that’s really a good feature if you want to put them on a couch or bench. The cats also like snoozing on them. These really do work. I got a large for outside the door and a medium for inside. Our garden is like a marsh when it rains and our dog hates having her paws cleaned/dried. These mats worked a treat, she just has to walk over them once and they absorb all the wet muck.
